Charity Tandem Skydive with Sands

Why Jump for us:
Sands supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. We offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, families and friends, health professionals and others.

Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 12,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway... and letting go - falling forward into the clouds, skydiving down through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph!  Well you can stop imagining as all this and more is available on one of our 12,000 feet tandem skydives! No experience is required as all training is given and if you raise the minimum sponsorship you can receive your skydive for free.

Short bio about the charity: Sands
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, supports anyone effected by the death of a baby. As well as providing a wide range of support services, the charity promotes and funds research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives, and works in partnership with health professionals to ensure bereaved parents and their families receive the best possible care.  The death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth is a devastating experience with lifelong consequences for the whole family.  With seventeen babies being stillborn or dying shortly after birth every day in the UK, Sands is a lifeline for thousands of families.

Sands is a national charity with a head office in London, and more than 100 regional support groups in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The charity relies on the generosity of fundraisers and supporters to continue its vital work, and appreciates everyone whose efforts contribute to the continued growth of the charity.
