Charity Tandem Skydive with The Family Holiday Association

The Family Holiday Association was established over 35 years ago and since then has
provided thousands of family breaks away for severely disadvantaged children across the UK.

The charity helps families in desperate circumstances: those dealing with disability,
bereavement, poverty, mental health problems, inadequate housing, or abuse. The families
are referred to us by somebody that works with them in a professional capacity – this could be
a teacher, social worker or health visitor, or even other charities such as Barnardo’s or the
NSPCC.

Typically, a family granted a break by the charity spends a few nights staying in a caravan in
a UK seaside town. These simple holidays can help strengthen relationships within the family
and give family members a fresh perspective, providing them with the motivation to make
positive changes to their lives.
