Charity Tandem Skydive in aid of Cancer Support Scotland
Cancer Support Scotland is charity operating out of a beautiful converted chapel on the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow. The charity provides emotional and practical support on a one-to-one basis and through community based outreach services to anyone affected by cancer including family and carers.
They offer vital counselling, podiatry and a range of complementary therapies that can help alleviate pain and stress from cancer treatments.
All of these services are 100% free of charge and importantly the charity supports people before, during and after their cancer treatment.
One in two people are affected by cancer and this is much more common in areas of deprivation – typically between 30% - 50% higher in the most deprived areas.
